The Palestinian Federation of Industries (PFI) is the national institution representing the Palestinian industrial sector through its federated associations, it founded in 1999 as a permanent private sector organization, and it facilitates industrial development as the basis for economic performance. PFI’s representational role is to educate, advocate, and communicate the value of a developed, socially-responsible and globally competitive industry, and its strategy of industrial development within industry associations leads to a stronger membership base capable of delivering valuable member services, effective policy formulation, and integrated communications.
The beginning of the cooperation between GCT and PFI was in the year of 2006 and continued for the following years, and hope to continue for the next years.
The cooperation aspects between GCT and PFI were in conducting training programs in different areas for its benefit, and these training programs were as the following:
Accounting principles: it carried out in Hebron 2008 with trainer Mr. Mirabo Shammas; the main targets were to familiarize participants with the basic accounting principles to refine their professional performance in the area of assets management and follow-up.
Financial analysis: Hebron 2008 with trainer Mr. Hisham Hamdieh from Jordan, the main objectives were to familiarize participants with the analysis of financial statements, and with the importance of financial planning and budget estimates.
Cost accounting: it implemented in Hebron, its main objectives were to familiarize participants with modern methods of accounting and cost management, and how to use the added value in the cost accounting to activate its role in the context of globalization and economic blocs.
Preparation of management consultant / Part 1: it conducted in Amman 2006 as a part of advertised programs in the GCT central plan, and its main targets were to familiarize participants with the concept and management of job description, and provide them with the necessary skills to prepare the organizational structures, job descriptions and integrated plans.
