Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committee (PARC) is a leading Palestinian non-profit, non-governmental organization involved in rural development and women's empowerment, it was founded in 1983 in response to the lack of agricultural extension services for Palestinian farmers by a group of agronomists, agricultural engineers, pioneer farmers and vet doctors who were active in the voluntary movement and who were convinced that forming specialized agricultural voluntary groups will serve the farmers, Palestinian agricultural sector and national goal of protecting the land in a better way. It provides advice, awareness support, services, and special consultancies for individuals, groups, and institutions involved in similar domains.
The beginning of the cooperation between GCT and PARC was in the year of 1999 and continued for the following years, and hope to continue for the next years.
The cooperation aspects between GCT and PARC were in conducting training programs in different areas for its benefit, and these training programs were as the following:
Proposal writing & fundraising: this program was a part of advertised programs in the GCT central plan, and conducted in 2005 in Ramallah (twice) with trainer Mr. Ayman Al –Mashni and Catherine Ebadi, it aimed to teach the participant how to write project proposals and its contents, and to identify concept of fundraising.
Preparation and reports writing: carried out in Ramallah 1999 with trainer Mr. Helmi Sari from Jordan. Its main targets were to identify the role of reports in the administrative process, effective reporting standards, and improve the performance of the participants in the preparation and writing report.
Institution building: it conducted in 1999 Ramallah with trainer Mr. Helmi Sari from Jordan, its main objective was to focus on the major & basic principles in the institution-building process.
