Palestine Hydrology Group (PHG)

Palestinian Hydrology Group (PHG) is the largest Palestinian NGO working to improve access to water and sanitation services, and to monitor pollution and climate change in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The beginning of the cooperation between GCT and PHG was in the year of 2000 and continued for the following years, and hope to continue for the next years.
The cooperation aspects between GCT and PHG were in conducting training programs in different areas for its benefit and for the benefit of several Palestinian clubs, centers and charities by funding these training programs, and these training programs were as the following:

Train of Trainers (TOT): it conducted in 2009 Ramallah with trainer Mr. Munir habashy from Egypt, the main targets were to provide participants with the needed skills and capabilities to carry out training, and provide them with modern training methods.

Community participation: it implemented in 2004 in Ramallah & Hebron (twice) with trainers Mrs.  Alia Al Shaar & Mrs. Berlam. Its main objectives were to teach participants how to define priorities, how to work towards social justice, and the ways of empowering individuals and communities.

Enhancement the role of women: carried out in 2004 in Ramallah, Hebron, and Gaza, with trainers Mrs.  Alia Al Shaar & Mrs. Eman Shnan, its main target was to familiarize participants with the importance of the women's role in the work and as an important part in human resources.

Strategic planning: conducted in Ramallah (2004, 2000) &Hebron in 2004 with trainers Mr. Mohamed Yosri and Mrs. Alia Al Shaar, the main targets were to provide participants with the general concepts of the strategic planning as a major function in the administrative process, and how to build a comprehensive strategic plan which will lead to the excellent performance of the company.

Building financial and accounting system: it conducted in 2004 for six times in Ramallah, Hebron, and Gaza (twice in each city) with trainers Mr. Imran Nasser and Mr. Ehab Hamad. The main goal was to develop and improve the participant's skills in the financial and accounting management, and how to manage projects.

Basic computer skills: carried out in 2004 in Ramallah & Hebron (twice in each city) with trainers Mr. Khaled Hamad, Mr. Yasser Al Qawasmi, and Mr. Shady Haddad. Its main objective was to provide participants with the basic principles of computer and how to use it in more efficient& effective way.

Cost recovery and tariff system: carried out in Ramallah 2002 with trainers Mr. Kamal Issa & Mr. Ibrahim Safi, and it aimed to identify the tariff system and how to recover costs.

Sway system management skills: it conducted in 2002 Ramallah with trainer Mr. Jamal Bernat, it aimed to identify the necessary skills in the modern management to influence on this system and achieve the best results in it.

Leadership skills for managing the team work: carried out in Ramallah 2001 with trainer Mr. Noor Nada from Egypt, its main goal was to develop the leadership skills of the participants and their methods in it.

Development communication skills and time management: carried out in Ramallah 2001 with trainer Mr. Noor Nada from Egypt, the major target was to provide participants with the skills of effective communication, and managing time techniques.
