General Consulting & Training (GCT) was founded in 2003, it formed in Ramallah, Palestine for the purpose of providing consulting and training services for private and government employers and other entities within Palestine. Within a few years, GCT had expanded its geographic scope to cover the Egyptian and Jordanian markets through offering services out of two partner offices in Cairo and Amman. This regional approach gives GCT access to highly experienced consultants/trainers working across the Arab world.

 GCT is a multi-disciplinary consulting/ training firm which is specialized in business development consultancy services to entrepreneurs and companies wishing to maximize shareholder value and establish local representation offices in the state of Palestinian. GCT has since widened its scope and now provides a broad spectrum of technical, business and management consulting services to public and private sector actors in Palestine. 
In addition to an extensive base of experience in business management, GCT offers a growing range of services including research, policy reform, strategic planning, institutional development,private sector participation, business process improvement,capacity building, education and financial management.

GCT has worked on projects with a wide range of companies transitioning from public to private ownership; it has carried out almost 1525 training days (9150 training hours) and 52 consultancy projects during (1999- untill now). And for its projects, it deploys qualified specialists in public-Private- local governance - NGOs sectors reform, utilities management and development, strategic planning and develoment ,education, business process improvement, governance, and e-government. It has qualified pool of experts includs researchers, economists, legal consultants, management experts, financial analysts, engineers , ICT & TVET experts. 

In terms of knowledge/experience in training, GCT is committed to the continuous improvement of its training modules. It tailors the training courses based on the needs of the trainees, their working environment, and the hiring company. Each training course is uniquely designed to correspond to the identified training needs and participatory methodologies in training. GCT training programs are convened through workshops, debating courses and conferences that offer new and modern techniques in adult education and continuous learning. 

GCT collaborates with 80 training experts and consultants in all specializations on a full and/ or part time basis. Of these, 40 are specialized regional experts based in Jordan and Egypt, and international experts from North America, Ireland, France, UK and Belgium. GCT has provided 
training for almost 311 employers , over 10000 trainees and has established solid relationships with many of the Companies.

MTC, International Development Holding Company, LLC, based in USA and ABU Consult Berlin GmbH (ABU) Based in Berlin Germany, Eureopen Profile in Greece, GOPA Consultants, and SIPU International AB, and now manages a diverse portfolio of high profile projects.

GCT’s client base includes international companies, private enterprises, donor agencies, development organizations and government. In the context of partners with international consulting companies leading for donor funded projects in West Bank / Gaza Strip , GCT provides the following support:

  2. Supply of local stuff
  3. Supply of local / regional consultants / trainers
  4. Logistics, office accommodation, IT… etc.
  5. Transport, drivers translation …etc

Donor Experience - GCT has worked on projects and provided training and consulting services  for the following international donors: USAID, GIZ (German Development Donor Agency), UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services), WHO (World Health Organization), UNDP (United Nations Development Program), and UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency), the Norwegian Mission, the European Union, the Government of Finland, and the Belgian Technical Cooperation.
