Study background: |
This plan was the last part of the (West Bank TVET Project) which was developed in accordance with the Save the Children Federation, MTC International Development Holding Company and General Consulting and training company. The objective of over all the project is to improved quality and relevancy of TVET education of partner institutions, through development of strategic directions and strategic relationships, and cooperation with the private sector in the west bank. MTC/GCT/ team developed the whole centre plans to help each school collaborate with their staff using a supplied template to develop their own whole centre plans. Several attempts were made to accomplish this task, including training of the schools, meetings, and other follow-up activities. Developing the whole centre plans in collaboration with the centers and tied future capacity building needs with the GAP analysis report. Seven major gaps in the national TVET system and the training programs of the NGO-TVET League were identified in the GAP Analysis. The TVET-NGO League Centers began developing Whole Center Plans to address the specific needs of each centre and to begin to evaluate their overall system approaches and opportunities at each centre. These Plans have been started with very basic information and identification of short-term and long-term. Action Steps, as well as information on governance, curricula and current programs offered. The centers will need to continue a process of staff and stakeholder input and review to further develop each action step and the activities necessary to remediate gaps and continue to develop demand driven programs and relationships with industry. |
