Study background: |
This study was a part of the (West Bank TVET Project) which was developed in accordance with the Save the Children Federation, MTC International Development Holding Company and General Consulting and training company. The objective of over all the project is to improved quality and relevancy of TVET education of partner institutions, through development of strategic directions and strategic relationships, and cooperation with the private sector in the west bank. the study advises on the status of new and emerging industrial zones in the West Bank, so the MTC/GCT teams conduct this analysis study to identify potential partnerships with the private sector and the planned industrial zones, identifying opportunities to connect institutions with employers, such as on-the-job opportunities, employer forums, enhancements to employer advisory councils, direct hires, private sector sponsorship of scholarships, apprenticeships and jobs for graduates through Meetings with the Palestine Industrial Estate and Free Zone Authority (PIEFZA), Chambers of Commerce, VET-NGO League Centers, and individual employers in the industrial zone (Hebron, Bethlehem, Jericho and Ramallah). |
