Risk Management Program

Palestinian Water Authority in cooperation with General Consulting and Training (GCT) implemented capacity development training program on “Risk Management”
Within the frame work of Water Sector Reform Program la...unched by PWA in 2011 called “The Emergency Capacity Building Project to PWA: Technical, Planning and Advisory Team in the Water and Sanitation Sector (TPAT)” and funded by the World Bank, Palestinian Water Authority has contracted GCT to design and implement a specialized training program on Risk Management target the senior stuff of PWA.
The main objective of the program was to acquire participants the needed knowledge and skills to be able to manage risks and crises efficiently and effectively in their real work environment according to their key roles & assigned responsibilities.
14 senior staff of PWA General Directorate of Administrative and Financial Affairs were participated in the training which continued for 4 training days / 20 training hours in Ramallah.
The program was implemented by the trainer Mr. Mohammed Mohaisen form Jordan who has over 25 years of experience in the field at the national ®ional level. At the closing ceremony Mr. Ziad Al- Fuqaha, the Head of Training in PWA expressed his warm thanks to GCT, trainer and all participants who showed their attention to learn and contributed effectively in the training through their positive discussions and presenting their main faced problems their daily work life. He said that “The program was an important opportunity for PWA staff to exchange experience and knowledge transfer between themselves and the trainer in order to acquire the needed skills to undertake their responsibilities in professional manner”.
